Revolutionizing Textile Technology with Integrated Electronic Functionalities
Bally Ribbon Mills will be highlighting its pioneering E-WEBBINGS® at the 2024 Advanced Functional Fabrics Summit. This event, hosted by the Advanced Functional Fabrics of America (AFFOA), will take place at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, from September 24–25, 2024. Attendees visiting the BRM table will have the opportunity to explore how E-WEBBINGS® are revolutionizing next-generation aerospace and defense applications with advanced electronic capabilities.
BRM’s proprietary E-WEBBINGS® e-textile product base was specifically designed to serve as a customizable foundation for a wide range of smart textiles used in aerospace and defense applications. These include material shielding, parachutes, seating and interior applications, crew safety system components, flight suits, air slides, seatbelts, and flotation devices. Notably, BRM E-WEBBINGS® are currently being developed and tested for use as stress and strain sensors for NASA’s Artemis program.
BRM collaborates closely with customers to design the structural and conductive components that allow for the detection and gathering of data depending on specific applications. Before beginning work on designing and customizing E-WEBBINGS®, BRM engineers take the time to thoroughly understand the purpose and specific requirements of the end device. They work closely with clients throughout each step of the process to ensure all needs are met.
